Refer a Caregiver to the Parenting Program
The Evidence-Based Parenting Program is a free, 15-session parenting education group for adults with mental health histories who are parenting children ages 0–17 in the Region 7E service area. If you work with caregiver who are parents, this program may be a valuable complement to the clinical services you are already providing.
Who Is Eligible
Priority enrollment is given to adults who meet SPMI criteria under MN Stat. 245.462, subd. 20, including those referred by county social services. The program also serves adults with mental health histories who demonstrate vulnerability factors such as:
- Current or recent CPS involvement
- Housing instability
- Limited social or parenting support
- Financial stress affecting the family
- Parenting while managing substance use recovery
Self-referrals and community referrals are also accepted. If you are unsure whether the caregiver is eligible, submit a referral, and we will follow up with you.

- Online via Microsoft Teams (Mondays 5:00 pm-7:00 pm) or in person in the Hinckley, MN area (Fridays, 5:00–7:00 PM)
