Plum Behavioral Health Services currently has openings for a contracted therapist with experience and interest in working with individuals and families of all ages. Therapy is offered primarily at our agency office, but may also be offered through e-services online through telecommunications. Therapists provide a wide range of clinical services including conducting initial clinical assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing individual/ family/group therapy, as well as weekly consultation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team in Plum Behavioral Health Services, by providing at least 10 direct client hours of psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, families, groups for clients with behavioral health needs.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency in variety of evidence based treatment modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for individual, family, couples, and group therapy. 
  • Practice under the guidelines of licensure, conduct diagnostic assessments with clients using the latest Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and determine the appropriate level of need under the supervision of the clinical team. 
  • Provide knowledgeable community information and resources to clients of Indiana.
  • Maintain high level of clinical expertise. Maintain knowledge of current clinical conditions, methods, medications, theoretical frameworks and interventions. Utilize best practices in delivery of behavioral health in accordance with professional and clinical guidelines. Utilize evidence-based interventions and modalities with sound theoretical base.
  • Work within agency EHR to maintain accurate and timely written health record of services rendered which may include crisis intervention, screening, collateral contacts, and evaluations, and therapy.
  • Participate in cooperative consultation with interdisciplinary clinical team members to support skillful treatment and decision making. Review cases and quality assurance concern with clinical team. Consult team members and others in the organization. May participate in clinical team meetings, agency planning, and quality management activities.
  • Other clinical duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of post-degree clinical experience. 
  • Master's Degree in clinical counseling, or allied field related to the practice of mental health counseling from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Indiana License Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or valid Indiana Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). 
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) upon hire. 
  • Taxonomy code required at time of hire. 
  • This position requires successful completion of credentialing process upon hire. 
  • External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience providing evidence-based treatment, including conducting individual, and group therapy, intensive outpatient treatment, and/or partial hospitalization programs for children, and/or adults.
  •  Knowledge and experience in conducting assessments and diagnostic evaluations using the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD).
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability in documentation, time management, conflict resolution, decision making, group process facilitation, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, quality management, teamwork and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training and/or experience in assessing and providing services through telecommunication.
